All of Me

I open my eyes to see the whole world You have made:
floral-greens, sky-blues, muted grays, sandy-whites,
landscapes painted in brilliant flowers and swaying trees,
mighty mountains, vast oceans.
I am awed.

Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. ~ Mark 8:25 NIV

I open my ears to hear a thousand creation songs -
fluttering wings among rustling leaves and whispering wind.
From the lusty cry of life’s first breath to the final hush of a stilled heart,
sound is my companion through all my days.
You sing over me.

He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
~ Is. 50:4 NIV

I open my lips to praise You, a ministry of words,
and then You patiently guide me to an offering:
healing expressions of care,
tender proclamations of love,
Spirit-filled verses of comfort for my fellow travelers.

Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
~ Ps. 51:15 NIV

I open my heart because You have opened Yours
and I long to be near You:
to receive Your unending love,
to live out the truth of Your promises,
to participate in Your plan for the world.

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
~ Psalm 28:7 NIV

This is all of me, Lord;
The me that You have wondrously made.
At my best, I can be a misty reflection of Your glory,
and though sinful, I will strive this very day
to use the gifts You’ve given me for the purposes You've established.

Because, Lord, I am wholly Yours.

We are His...
today is a good day!

~ Natalie
